The Royal Orchid Sheraton 5 Star Hotel commissioned EEC Lincolne Scott to design, document and supervise the installation of various upgrades to their existing building services.

The works were undertaken in stages over approximately five years.

The building was opened in 1984. It consists of a basement, ground level, 3 level podium, 24 guest levels and roof. There are 750 guest rooms.

The works will ensure the Hotel’s building services can assist in maintaining its market position for at least the next 10 years. In addition, the works will improve the fire and life safety standards for the Hotel occupants and provide lifecycle cost savings.

EEC Lincolne Scott met the challenge of keeping the Hotel operational throughout the works and minimising disruption to hotel guests.

The major projects included: stair pressurisation, steam boiler replacement, PABX replacement, lift refurbishment, escalator replacement, water treatment plant upgrade, AHU replacements, cooling tower replacements, chilled water system upgrade.
